4/26 - Guest Blog From Jen

Larry normally does the entries, but tonight it's Jen's turn (kind of like the guest cartoons when Daddy takes a vacation in 'Family Circus') to deliver an inspiring message of hope and resilience:

I love the artichokes that Kim Carver sent via her husband Chris.

[Touching, eh?]

Jennifer,

There are plenty more where those came from! I am glad that you enjoyed the artichokes. I am also thrilled that Jacob has moved out of the PICU and is in a more "normal" enviorment. It is wonderful that he can now see and spend quality time with his friends, this should help speed him up on his road to recovery. You, Jacob and Larry cross my mind at least a million times a day...you are in the thoughts and prayers of my family, friends as well as the pastor and quite a few of the moms at Valerie's school. Quite often I am called or stopped on the sidewalk and asked how Jake is doing and what progresses he has made. I check for Larry's updates several times a day (yes, I know that we usually only get one, but sometimes Larry will throw us a little something extra). I know that you have quite a road ahead of you, but if you ever start to feel weary just look back over the last few weeks and see how far you have come. You are such a strong family with a wonderful support system. You are truly blessed. I look forward to very soon having Jacob and Valerie in the back seat of my car talking my ear off on the way to Dippin Dots!

P.S. I do take special order dinner requests.

Love to all.

Kim
