Post-surgery (Jen)

Jen is laid up and groggy. The intent was to do the entire kidney removal laparoscopicly, but they ended up having to partially open up her belly. That means that the recovery will take longer and be more painful. I think one of her parents will sleep in her room tonight. If not, I'll shuttle between the two patient rooms.

If you think my wife would allow me to take a camera-phone picture of her in this condition, you don't know my wife.

Thanks for all the updates! We are so relieved that the surgeries are over and that both patients will now be on the road to recovery. Please give them a hug from us.

Love,
Ronnie & Stan

So far so good Larry. Let me know what you need (and you're doing a great job of keeping us all informed).

Larry,
One more thing- you are amazing with this blog and keeping us all up to date! I love the Mona Lisa! I am sure that Jen is so glad that you have the good sense not to post her picture just yet!
Jen and Jacob are real troopers, but so are you, Dad. I think the entire Silverman family is pretty amazing.
Get some rest and God bless-

Yay! Rafi and I are soooooo happy that it went well. I always thought that Jen looked alittle like the Mona Lisa. We have been praying for you guys the whole day and we asked someone to pray at the Rebbe's Ohel for you, love, Hindy

I am so glad that Jen and Jacob are doing well! The first thing the kids mentioned this morning when we put the date up on the calendar at our morning meeting was that Jacob was getting a new kidney! We will talk about how well it went in our morning meeting tomorrow. We all miss him very much.

I wish both patients a speedy recovery. Thanks for the updates Larry. Your family continues to be in my thoughts and prayers.
